ULI Looks at Future of Real Estate
The three hot topics at the fall Urban Land Institute meeting last week were walkability, access to public transit, and environmental sustainability.

The Institute also held sessions on how to negotiate with mortgage servicers, how to repurpose big-box stores that go out of business, and how to manage a real estate firm in a down market.

Other key topics included the slowdown in leasing, the importance of managing risk, the appeal of investing in grocery stores, and the interest in U.S. real estate by global investors.
