Green Building Shows Innovation
The range of green products at the Greenbuild Expo in Chicago last week was significant with more than 1,000 companies showcasing non-toxic and energy-saving wares, most of them for commercial construction.
Some of the products included:
· A two-plug outlet from ThinkEco that cuts power to plugged-in devices when they aren’t in use.
· AirRenew drywall from CertainTeed that cleans indoor air by capturing formaldehydes.
· A wind turbine from Honeywell that is quiet and operates at low speeds – good for generating power at home.
· Triple-pane windows from such well-known manufacturers as Anderson and Jeld-Wen.
