Google's Real Estate Plans
Google plans to add 1.2 million square feet of space to its more than 4 million existing real estate holdings.
Among other things, it expects to add fitness and day-care facilities to its corporate campus as well as some employee housing. The details weren’t released because the company said the information was proprietary, but there is considerable interest in the surrounding community.
"I don't want to say it's the new company town," Gregory M. Davies, a vice president at commercial real estate firm Cassidy Turley CPS Inc., said of Google's plans, "but it's not far from it."
